They have been making "skyslider" kits for years, they are generic and comes in different sizes depending on your vehicle. When JBA was owned by the original owner he sold those kits way before the KK was even revealed.Though the actual kits are way more then $99,they start at about $1200 or so depending on size.

Ok guys you proved me wrong... But I know people who do AFTERMARKET installs of sunroofs/moonroofs and let me tell you that after a couple of years they become a pain in the butt!
there is nothing like factory install... and we are talking about sunroofs in here! can you imagine down the road what would happen to your libby if you did and aftermarket install??? HECK! ive heard of factory installs that leak! I dont really want to think what would happen in here!

My granddad has a 1993 caddy with factory sunroof and has never EVER had a leak...
chances are that his caddy will never EVER leak since he is the original owner of the car and he does not plan on selling it.... sooooo chances are he will never EVER see it leak

I had a Toyota for 10 years with a sunroof with never a leak in it. And washed it many times in power washes. Sold it to a good friend who still has it as a 2nd car....no leaks yet.

Lets see out of the 70 plus cars I have owned about 20/22 had T tops, sunroofs, convertibles, softtops etc. all factory installed, all but one sunroof which I did myself, and it never leaked , all the others did at some point in their life,

factory installed items are installed by ....humans so things happen.

You do not even want to hear some of the storys of the sliders on the KKs from those who install them, you would never buy one or I wouldn't!

I had a really fun WJ that developed a nasty leak. It apparently began during the winter, but living up north where the temperature is kind of below freezing the whole time I didn't notice it. First warm day of the year I took it to the car wash, and it was like effin' niagra falls coming down through that thing on me. But on the bright side, the leak prompted me to trade it in for the KK :)
