The 2009 Jeep Liberty says in the brochure it has the Universal Consumer Interface (UCI) to control your iPod through the touch screen on the uconnect gps. I think this will allow you to have your iPod in the glove box and control it from the touch screen. I wanted to hear if anyone has actually received a part (cord) and how does it work (is it worth it, does it work seamlessly)? It is unclear if it is an additional option (mopar part) or simply comes with the vehicle. I have differing opinions, my salesmen says it comes with the vehicle, Chrysler says its not available for the liberty but did say that the radio in the grand cherokee, compass and patriot is the same radio as the liberty. The uci is not listed on the mopar site for the liberty but it is listed on the grand cherokee, compass and patriot. 1. will the UCI cable come with an 09 liberty? 2. has any added this part (not the ipod integration) to their 09 liberty? 3. anyone know of a other vehicle that uses the uci? |

So I am still wondering why the UCI feature is listed in the brochure but no-one;Dealer, Parts Dept, Chrysler Customer Service knows anything about it. How are you connecting your ipod to your uconnect system and using the touch screen? |
