As of last night I was getting 16.5 in the city. I drive about 20 miles roundtrip to work 5 days a week and use reg 87 fuel. Took a trip to Georgia last month and got 24mpg doing 70mph. I'm assuming this is wintergrade gas now, thus a drop in mpg.? Otherwise I've gotten about 18mpg with my 2008 Limited since September. Not the greatest...but not the worst I guess either |

19-20mpg overall, which includes highway usually over 70mph and some local city driving. (real city driving in Chicago) Best was about 23mpg only highway trip to cottage and back cruise control set between 65-75mph. |

My highest is 24.2 mpg - all Interstate driving back from NM to Denver. I average 19 in town, and 22 on the highway. |

Well...I did 17.8 when I drove down to the Indy airport on Saturday. Otherwise not too good. Maybe I need to try the mid-grade gas?????? |

Won't help. In fact you're mileage might go down slightly because higher octane gas burns slower, combined with the fact that it costs more... double negative. Use the LOWEST possible octane your engine can run on. I'd look at you driving habits first, best part is... it's free! |

winter fuel kills your mileage..but who cares now that gas is 1.49 a gallon now if only i could save enough for tires and a locker |

does the tax on your fuel not pay for most of your health care like it does in most of the UK? |

Soooo, I wish I could say I was kidding, ...... but 18mpg. And that's doing 75mph on the interstate using cruise control. Honestly, I'm sure I might be able to break 20mpg, if it was all flat highway, no headwind, and doing 55-60mph. 'Course, come this year, after the new light cage, roof basket, and MT's, I'll just go back down to 17-18mpg. Oh well! |

Then I guess there is nothing wrong with my Liberty because that is exactly what I get. I thought maybe something was wrong but I guess these Jeeps are just fuel hogs. |

The only part about this that gets me mad, is that the new Range Rovers (for example)... get the same mpg we do, and they weigh 5700lbs! And they're bricks too! So tell me Chrysler, is it true? Do you really have no idea how to make your Jeeps more efficient? -ugh- |
