| Post subject: | 08 KK What lift? |
New to the site, been lurking for awhile. Been checking out all the posts in the KK section and have found alot of great info. I Want to lift my KK 2" or so. What is the most dependable lift available for the newer libertys? Im seeing alot of people going with the daystar kit....Just looking for a quality kit thats ot gonna rip my suspension apart! AND does lifting the truck void the warranty if I bring it in for anything? Thanks in advance for the info! Justin |

I have the REVTEK 2" and it is working fine for me. Looks great and an easy install. The dealer that services my "Cherokee" (I don't like the name "Liberty") don't have a problem servicing it and actually thinks it looks better than stock. |

Daystar and Revtek are the same thing...basically. Daystar is a polyurethane spacer placed under the spring inside the strut and Revtek is a machined piece of aluminum placed on top of the spring inside of the strut...both use spacers at the rear...which one will sag first? |

Are there a good aftermarket springs that I can replace the stock ones with while I have it all apart???? |

the only aftermarket besides custom made is the jeepin by al lift http://jeepinbyal.com/cat-Jeep_Liberty_KK-30.aspx if your looking to go cheap, do the day star http://www.daystarweb.com/productdetail.php?productID=17 the disadvantage with the day star is it compresses your strut springs further the disadvantage with jba's is the cost, but it is done correctly |

its a nice starter lift, I would have gone with the rustys lift for the money, but they couldn't drill 4 holes straight but in the end, I love my 4 inch lift |

Im in the middle of an ebay purchase, well almost.... Im trying to make up my mind. This guys got a set of wheels that I think im gonna go for.... They are 18's. i figure once i get the lift i can throw a bigger tire on there to fill out the wheelwells. 225/45/18 is whats on there now so I think they'd be cool for now, but i'd like to get a nice A/T tire after I lift it.... Who knows man it gets so confusing trying to spend money on things we need to function with our toys! |

225/45/18 is a low profile tire that would be on a small Honda type car. I wouldn't run those tires on the Jeep at all, not to mention they are much smaller then stock. What kind of rims are they? Link to auction? |

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-BLACK ... otohosting I figure they will fill the wells nice for now... Im not gonna be doin much wheelin till the spring... So i figure i can run these for now and once i lift it I can go with a larger size A/T tire on my stock 16" rims .... Just a Thought to do somethin different... like I said, who knows- Im just lookin around for now..... |

225/45r18? you will be loosing 2.65 inches of side wall height and 3.32 inches off of the total dia... if you thought your kk was drag'in its nuts now, it will really be dragging after you put those tires one unless you are going for the look like FLRENNY |

I was checkin out his ride and Its a different look.... Like I said, Im up in the air. I might just get a nice lookin set of black 16's and a bigger tire and just do it all when I do the lift.... Im just really driving back and forth to work right now so I thought it would look cool for now. Then when spring comes around I would have my stock 16"s with a nice beefy tire on it when I take it out on the trail.... I dont know man- It's all so confusing!!! LOL... I do like the look of flrennys ride though.... im tired, im gonna hit the hay and sleep on it... had a long day of tattooing!!! I'd like to pick up the convo manana though if you r gonna be on in the afternoon.... Talk later |
