Post subject:  roof rails useless?
I tried searching way back into this section of the forum so this topic wouldn't be redundant to you KK owners..couldn't find anything! Anyway I wanted to know if the rumors are true and the roof rails are in fact useless on the 08+'s?? ...hope not!!

They better not be useless cause I now have 3,000mi or more with my yak rack (bd 6 ski rack and a huge thule ski box) up there doin its thing...ain't blowed off yet.

edit- to be clear: the factory roof rails are the mount that yakima recommends for their roof bars.

sweet! good to know. i'll relay your rack setup to my friend who's a KK owner that thought their rack couldn't be utilized :D

only if you have a sky crapper :lol:

any way, the kk is some what better as it uses studs that come out from the roof in like the kj that uses bolts.

hopefully by the end of the month, the rock lizard roof rack will be complete

yes, as far as i know, the sky crappers have the same 8 studs that the reg kk's have
