As you requested Diggerfreak some pictures of the CRD engine. Sorry, but I am not the best photographer.
I will make some pictures of the car later maybe there are some differences between European and the US model.

I cracked, or better a stone cracked my windshield this afternoon, great 4 days old and already a cracked windshield, that sucks.
I have to talk to my insurance tomorrow.

Greetings from Germany

Andree

Thanks for these! I *really* wish Chrysler would offer the KK CRD here in the US.

Don't feel bad about the windshield. I'm just coming up on 1 year old, and I am on Windshield 3 with a patch in it already.
Looking into a bug deflector. It might help a little, no?

mine is 10 months old and on windshield #2. It was less than a week old when another rock left it's mark.

Same.
In fact it was the day of #2s install that it broke.
Caught a rock to it before i took the tape off.
THe installers were cool about it. they just came by a couple days later, and put a new one on. They said they wouldn't charge me because of my vet status.
THank GAWD for the plates.

Maybe the glas quality is not the best. Sounds like there are a lot broken windshields.
Mine will be fixed on thursday or friday we will see. I hope that the my dealership can locate the "tilt mirror in reverse" feature.
The installation of a bug deflector can cause some trouble in Germany because of the TUV (the German DMV).

His won't let him have a bug deflector.

Yours won't let you have a CRD.

Howdy

Thanks for the pictures.
Can you do a closeup of the fuel head?
it looks like it's the 2.8 head but the top half is metal and the bottom half is the molded plastic.

@ATXKJ, sorry I have no idea what a fuel head is. I will make pictures as soon as I know what it is. :?:

The fuel head is the fuel filter, heater, temp sensor, water in fuel sensor - pump and vent - all combined.
