It's been below 0 here for a week or so, and I noticed that I have NO heat coming out by my feet! Passenger side gets heat, and so do the little vents on the back of the center console... but nothing at the driver's side! Is this normal? (I hope not) I tried cycling thru the different settings a few times, thinking maybe a door was stuck somewhere, but no luck. I wear size 13-14 shoes, with steel toes for work... so it's possible I've kicked something on accident. I want to verify that there actually should be heat under the dash on driver's side before I go climbing around under there in this weather... |

I have a 2009 and I don't get heat there either. Probably a design flaw akin to the windshield not getting enough defrost air. Same engineer maybe? |

It usually takes 6 or 7 miles until I get heat on the driver's side. It seems to start on the right, goes around to the back and then to the front left. |

Nope, there is no heat for the driver. My wife noticed this early in the week. She hates it. |

I think you will find there is heat down there, but it blows behind the gas pedal on the bottom of your foot not the top like most cars. A design flaw. Dave |

Well I'm not the only one then, that stinks. I was actually hoping that nobody else had the problem, and I just kicked a vent loose or something. I'm curious to see what the TSB that Nate has covers. |

ok there is not a tsb for this problem, however Chrysler did update the close out panel with a new version. The poor airflow to the drivers floor is caused by the poorly designed closeout panel. The panel is supposed to direct airflow to the floor, but there's two problems with it. One is the design doesn't direct the air properly and the material is too flimsy. This caused most of the air to be caught above the closeout panel. Not very effective. Here's the part number for the new closeout panel for the poor airflow on the drivers side floor: 55197311AE Hope this helps. Let us know how every thing goes |

My CRD has the same problem. There is air but no way to warm your feet because it bloows only one inch after the duct. |
