Post subject:  Jeff Daniels Jeep Experience with JBA Lift

Hi all,

This is my first post since recieving my kk in november of this year. I love the thing and am itching to get the jba 2.5" lift. I am in the SE PA area and notice that JEff Daniels Jeep is located near me and is an authorized installer (I am not confident enough nor do I have the garage or tools to do so myself).

I was wondering if anybody has had this kit installed by Jeff Daniels and what their experience was like. I do want to get it lifted but am scared of being a guinea pig as this is my only vehicle.

Also, is this something that would void warranty as it is a spring lift, not a spacer lift...I am assuming that would be the case.

Thanks for your help.

I am interested in the jba lift to more the 4" to not limit myself with the 2.5" lift. I few things thou that scare me.
1. brakeline mod on the 4"
2. possible more chance of roll over due to higher center of gravity the higher lift u go.
3. warranties. I got the extra bumper to bumper.serms that based on what I hear is that each dealership may state diiferent things about lifts. seems like a 2" lift and tire to more than 4% will not void other items directly related to lift parts. ie: the tranny or engine.

now that said so the 2.5" lift and 245/75r16 should be fine.
A 4" lift and 245/75r16 might be okay other than rear brakes and ???? ie:ESP and other roll over features not set for a lift.

I have heard 235/75r16 might fit on a 2.5"lift but will rub hard when offroading. also with either lift u loose power. I'm still all stock and yesterday it was 70 degrees and I was drivingup the grapevine with my wife no gear and maxed out at 85. did not try to drop it into a lower gear or take off overdrive by pressing the tow/haul button but hmm with mch bigger tires and a 2000 # boat or toy I wonder how slow I would be crawling up that hill. my 1993 s10 blazer 4.3 could push 80 up that hill towing.

1. brakeline mod on the 4"-easy to do
2. possible more chance of roll over due to higher center of gravity the higher lift u go.-Highly unlikely unless your a idiot

1-Brake lines are a breeze to do.
2-Unless you forget your driving a Jeep and not a Ferrari you'll be fine,it actually will improve your ride over stock(not mushy anymore).
3-It depends on the dealer, some will not care and others will be ultra picky, and any tire size not offered as OEM can void the powertrain part of the warranty.

According to Jba who I talked to yesterday he said that 265/75r16 will fit fine with the 2.5. As far as warrenty google the magnauson moss warrenty act it's helped me a few times.

if you are afraid for your warranty just keep a set of stock tires on cheap rims and if something ever happens , just put on the stockers before you go to the dealer. Thats what my salesman told me

Yeah that's a lot of work and extra money for new rims. Could keep the tires and switch them if something bad happened. But I bet if I went to the same dealership they would KNOW!
