| Post subject: | Any KK Wiring / Fuse Box Circuit Diagrams Known? |
Hey ya'll. Happy Friday! Has anyone come across any wiring diagram or fuse box circuit diagrams for your KK? Or, has anyone hard-wired some electronics into your KK that only come on when the ignition is on? One of the first additions I do to my vehicles is to hard-wire them for a radar/laser detector (Valentine One) so that it comes one when the ignition is on and turns off when the car turns off. I'll want to do this once I get my KK sometime later this month, hopefully the week of the 16th. I'd appreciate any info or help locating information from which I can determine where I'll connect in such wiring. Maybe I'll wind up making a "how to" for the "KK Tech Section" when I do get my KK and do this mod. Thanks. |

My best suggestion is to tap the wires on the cigarette lighter that one comes on and off with the ignition just saying... |

Ditto to what Silver said. If you have the Valentine ONE, there is an adapter from Valentine site that allows you to "splice" into an existing line and then connect the phone line to the splice. Works real well. I am planning to put another cig lighter on the other side from where the factory one is and connect that to a constant hot....when it gets warmer that is. |

Thanks guys for the input. I'm currently at a little disadvantage since I'm still a couple weeks away from getting my KK but I don't want to waste any time once it gets here. I'm not looking for the "constant hot" circuit, but rather will want to wire in my detector to a switched circuit. That way the detector comes on when the ignition is on and turns off when the vehicle is turned off. That is how I've wired it in my other vehicle and it is very functional. |

THERE'S THE SOLUTION! tap into the cig lighter wires and you cant go wrong! I can send you a lolcat to do the install
