Are you replacing a grille? I don't really understand the question . . . but no, it is definitely not hard to install a grille.

while you have the grill off maybe want to put the screening in behind it like some of the others have done in the fabrication section?

might save you some debris damage from those IL roads during construction season

They both look nice . . . but I guess what we are asking is why are you asking us this? Do you have a sport or a limited? Because there is a big cost difference ($150 chrome, $300+ painted). So what is it that you have now. and what are you proposing? Are you trying to switch out an existing grille? If you are simply asking which we like better because you have a liberty that has no grille whatsoever, then that is strictly personal preference. Personally, I am not into chrome.

Is anyone following this? jeep4x4, I don't mean to be a d**k but help us out a little here. Your buddy is driving around a Jeep without a grille? How did this happen? Do you understand what a grille is?

I think you've got a bad connection there. If it was a phone I'd hang up and see if they call back with a better connection.

ha ha, I should have done that with this thread.

Hey digger, how did you go about connecting that mesh behind your grille? I am thinking about doing that as soon as it isn't so darn freezing out. What kind of material did you use?

I used this stuff called lath, it's like 6 bucks for a 4x6 chunk at home depot... I then cut out a piece, bent the edges I cut over in the to the voids that are behind the grille and filled those with the glue that is used with weatherstripping. It's very sturdy

I like and have the chrome grille. On the same note I have the whole Chrome package so it looks good with it. If he doesn't have the chrome package I think the chrome grille would stick out like a sore thumb ... It's more a personal preference and he needs to make the decision in the end. Also like others have said, there is a price difference ...
