Thanks ya'll for the compliments. I'm quite pleased with my KK. I've always been an enthusiast into modifying and customizing my automobiles.

I'm guessing the second (trail rated badge) is added, not from the factory?
Yep, that is one of the mods I had the dealer do before I took possession. I like symmetry, so I had a "trail rated" badge installed on the passenger side too. Keen eye! My understanding is that Jeep only puts the "trail rated" badges on the driver's side. Looking around my dealer's lot, it appears true for Libertys, Wranglers and Grand Cherokees.

Are you sure 2 came on your jeep from the factory? Every liberty I am seeing on the lot or on the road has one.
Does having 2 liberty badges mean something?
Unless there is some odd variation due to a certain worker(s) on the assembly line, I believe it Jeep's intent to only install the "trail rated" badge on the driver's side of vehicles. It may be that a certain dealer is installing them on the passenger side as well because of some personal preference or something. It only cost me $30 (for the part and free dealer labor) to install the passenger side one on my KK.

About time

.... so how long in tell you drill your first hole in it?
Any way, It's nice to see another green lib on the board..... enjoy it

Does it count if I already had the dealer drill holes in it? Over the next couple weeks, I'll be looking into some modifications myself.
And for Jeep Green, I'm glad I got mine custom built before they
quit building Jeep Green.

congrats on the ride! did you get the little mopar guard without the mopar exterior appereance group? if so how much did you paid?
Also:
How much did you paid for the black package???
Personally, I didn't want the full Exterior Appearance Group-Black (pkg ALB), so I just had my dealer install the black Front Tubular Grill Guard. I guess I tend not to follow any prescribed limits and figure out how to make things happen the way I want.
I had my dealer quote me a large quantity of possible modifications and accessories -- something like 22 IIRC. Then I decided which ones I wanted and then negotiated a complete package deal for my KK and the lot of parts, accessories and dealer-installed mods I wanted. The dealer had quoted the black Front Tubular Grill Guard at $491 MSRP parts plus $150 Labor to install (based upon OEM hours recommended). That's $641 total. If you applied the discount I negotiated on the entire package, then you could say I wound up paying $484 for it installed. If you're referring to swapping out the Limited's chrome body side modings with black ones off the Sport, original quote was $366 total parts & labor MSRP, paid $277. For swapping out the rear brow, original MSRP was $152, I paid $115. I hope that answered your question.
All of us should not feel constrained to the few major option packages offered by Jeep off the assembly line. Any good dealer should be able to install any specific option or accessory in general. (of course, being the way I am, I talked with their parts department and toured their body shop before I felt comfortable enough to negotiate with them to do my OEM mods)
