My driver´s side wiper blade went bad on me so I had to replace them both....

I bought two RAIN X latitude blades and they are awesome (at 20 bucks a piece they have to be!)
I just wanted to pass the word on these blades.........
Well, I guess thats it
so long!

Ive had my share of tacos if you know what I mean! (wink wink) =)

Seriously though Ive had a lot of work and have not been able to post a lot.... I really hope to have more free time this week........
BTW: Ive been meaning to ask you how often do you change your oil on your KK? Dealer says that every 3000 miles I should do the filter and oil change because of the hotter weather we have here..... (our top temp last week was 104F.... go figure.........) So I just wanted to know if this info is accurate or not.....

Well Im off to bed.... see ya tomorrow diggah!

so far the computer in the KK has been telling me to do it between 2250 and 2700 miles... how ever as soon as I get a good trend established with my oil samples, I will probably extend my drain intervals...If your running dino, change it every 3... if your running synthetic, your probably good till 5000

as far as I look at it, changing the oil sooner just means the what ever is in there will get flushed out faster. I drive my KK pretty hard... It has been to the rev limiter many times which would probably explain my shorter drains...

catch ya on the flip side

My one oil change was at 6000mi. That's what the books says and that's when the light turned on.

I've been having the dealer do mine every 5,000km/3month.

I've been wondering about that though... Forgive my ignorance here, but - this is my first NEW (read: under warranty) vehicle.

somebody told me long ago that the dealer/shop needs to do the oil change. If I do them, they can claim it's not been done - and if an engine problem arrises, then no warranty?

Can somebody clarify for me? the LAST thing I need while trying to pay off massive credit cards, and pay for a wedding, is a non-warrantied jeep.

I guess there is not a common base for that...... Ive heard of dealerships that will not honor your warranty if you or any other party made the oil change.....
I spoke to my stealership and to my surprise they told me that it was ok for me to do the oil change or to take it to a quick lube place..... as long as I kept my receipts and added the kind of oil my jeep required the warranty would be fine...
So I guess that your best beat is to ask.... My dealer charges me 24 bucks for an oil and filter change so I guess its not that bad

It "used to be" in the owner's manuals that it was okay to have oil changes done elsewhere. You shouldn't have a problem unless your dealer is a @^$* but by all means, make sure they use 5W20 and keep your receipts.

Silver is right.
If you want your life time warranty and do not want a dealer touching your car, keep all reciepts. I will take that 1 step more.

Keep a log book with dates, milage, Proof of purchase codes and the sales reciepts photo copied to it. Over kill take a picture that is dates showing the work as well. this si way over kill...
But in court it helps to have proof if it goes that fare...

My dealer want $39 for the Oil changes. I hate that, but that is not that bad. My good friend/ auto Tech, charges $20 for my other cars in cash only. But he does not keep a shop record...

For Oil changes, it is best to look at the oil... I say for new comers, check it once a week or every fuel fill. You will see start to change color.
Wel once it is dark it is a good time to change it. if it black, well get a flush at the same time.

I have been changing oil in my car from the age 10 to now that is 23 years. Yes at 10 I work with my Grandpa doing oil changes on the family cars... My dad never got it... so lets say this skipped a generation.
I then when to college for Toyota...
I have learned allot. I then worked for Penske and he was sponced by Moble 1. Well I learn more.. I also got free oil for 5 years...

All my car, trucks and jeep get Mobel 1 in the motor and Redline in the tranny and rear end, if it meets the factory specs.

I say change oil at 5K for normal drivers.
if you are not nornam change it more offten...

Also do your self a favore and get the brakes checked at 5K and tire rotated. also have the brake pads/shoes lubed and clean every 5K.This seem over kill, but it can get you 20% to 60% longer life in pads allown.

What gets lubed are sliders and cleaned is the pad holders.

What I say of from my life. if you do not like, just do not do it.
If I can help someone Jeep last longer then cool...

if you can do all the work your self... it is fun to learn and bond with your stuff...
