| Post subject: | MyGIG Phonebook |
I have a 2009 Jeep Liberty with a RER (MyGig) radio. I have not figured out the Uconnect Phonebook as of yet. It is my understanding that the phone is suppose to download the phonebook from my phone via the pairing. What I have seen is random phonebook entries show up (1 - 2 only at a time) show up in the phonebook. When I pair again they might be different. When I give the command "Download Phonebook" it never understands it. How do I get the phonebook from my phone to the MyGig system? |

Weird.... My RER stereo does not download my phonebook... instead it "reads" my phones phonebook.... What Ive found is that if I use the uconnect system right after jumping into the KK then the phone would work but the phonebook not. I have to wait about 2 mins for the entries to be read hope this helps |

On mine, when the phone is first connecting, there is an icon at the bottom of the screen showing a phone handset and then an arrow going to an address book icon. Once the phonebook is fully uploaded, this icon grouping turns into just an address book with a red checkmark next to it. Then, if you go into "my files" then "address book", there should be a list of multiple items. There is then a folder (for me on the top of page 2 of this list) with my cell phone's name. When I click on the folder of matching my cell phone's name, then I can see the list of all of the contacts / phonebook uploaded from my phone. You can click on one of them and edit info or call that contact. I'm guessing this is the list that the uConnect translates into voice when you referrenced "reading" it to you. That's all I know about that off the top of my head, but I've hardly had a chance to play with it. There has to be a lot more info out there considering the quantity of RER head units that have been sold. Hope this helps. |
