| Post subject: | MyGig - AM Station Interference |
I read about this when I owned a 07 Jeep Wrangler, but the past week or so I have been driving down the hwy listing to the "biggest stick in the state" our local AM station that is pretty powerful (wattage wise) but I keep hearing a lot of interference in the background. I did not have this with my REQ radio, but am having the problem with the MyGIG radio now. Anyone else have this issue? |

what is the callsign of your local AM station? Also, what time of the day/night were you listening to it? The reason I ask is, lots of AM stations change power levels at sunset. Some of them, like my local AM station changes from an omni directional antenna to a directional antenna array at night. We beam our power southwest. My local AM station has a pretty tight pattern at night. You can basically almost see the towers, but you can't hear the station in some areas. |
