| Post subject: | headl liner coming apart |
I just Sent the Jeep into the dealer for a few issues. 1. was the head liner coming apart. Location is the rear left and right sides by the 3rd window. Can any one tell me if you see your edges coming apart as well? Running parrell with the rear window. The dealer is trying to say this is normal..I disagree. if I wanted a jeep with the head liner coming apart I would had gotten a used 1. not a brand new one..

I agree ... I'm sure if more people were having this problem it would be well noted on this site |

Well, I am conducting a survey. So the Poll is needed. This web site has about 40 to 60 KK drivers. The dealership said it was a normal thing for the head liner to come apart. I disagree. So I am Polling other KK owners to see what is happening with there cars. I am not 100% sure this will hold up in court, but at least i am trying to see what is really hapening with or Liberty from 2008 to 2009. I am building a case... |

I think your best route in court (and on L.O.S.T.) would be some pictures. Not a poll from a message board that is easily manipulated. So lets get some pics. |

Not yet . . . AND I had the same issue as you with the rear LED's. Mine started strobing, so I took them out and put back the originals. |

well court will not happen... But as you can see at the very least this is just a poor cut and the attention to detail here was not very good for this part of the car. Oh well, I might have made a bigger deal of this than I should have. I was just not happy about it... the dealer refused to fix it, but They did a good job on everything else. So i will stop my quest to have it fixed with them. But i might try a new dealer... |

I would definately be working towards getting that fixed under waranty. I can't see where they would have a leg to stand on dening it. FYI, they are going to try to get out of it so they don't have to replace the whole head liner. But that is definately a warranty issue. |
