Can anyone point out the main differences here?

What is the average cost of doing a self install of both options? I believe i recall the rock krawler needs replacement rear shocks?

lol...

From looking at the picture of the parts, i assume the rock krawler is a cheap improper way of jacking up your vehicle, while in the long run costing you more money because it puts stress on the wrong areas of the stock suspension such as the springs and ball joints.

Meanwhile, the JBA is a true lift, replacing all necessary parts hence why it cost 10x as much for the same size lift as the RK.

What is the cheapest JBA setup with ALL necessary parts to be done properly?

The OME lift for the KK is available overseas. I have a few emails out seeing if it is yet available in the states. If you can wait a couple weeks I might have some good news. Otherwise go fo the JBA.

OME might be coming over. very interesting. Would be great to here more info about it, please keep us posted. I wonder what price would be compared to JBA.

OH, about the difference, in doing it yourself, RK easier just the forks and rear shocks. The JBA is more complex. The RK is a "budget lift" in other words in the long run it will stress your budget  But in the mean time you fit bigger tires, while you save for the JBA. So the main question is do you want to do it once or a few times? I'm still contemplating the idea myself. Some days I feel I'm just going to get the RK and once I pay it off I'll put a real lift, but thatis a long time. So I guess I'll save my pennies for now, until I can't handle it and get one or the other.

Is the OME 2.5", with full 2.5 springs or are they like 1.5" with OTT extensions ?

All the OME springs on JBA for the KJ are 1.5", what do they use to get it up to 2.5"?

someone correct me if im wrong, im sure ive read it somewhere... i believe they advertise smaller then actual lift amounts. this allows them to be installed on vehicles in countries where large lifts are prohibited. they actually net 2" or 2.5" of lift.

Isn't the KK and KJ front the same so you could use the KJ OME in the front then use the JBA rear 2.5" springs and Bilsteins shocks for $822.XX? If the front is the same all OME needs is back coils and back shocks??

goin off memory here again  the fronts are longer on the KK then they are on the KJ. from what i found in a thread thats pry a couple years old by now... a Frankie II from a KJ was installed on the front of a KK and it only netted about 2" and doesnt the KJ net 3-3.5"? not entirely sure. if someone wanted to measure the stock KJ components I would measure the stock KK to verify...

im betting the OME is a better choice then the JBA. I would say ARB pry puts a little more R&D into they're products then the one man show JBA has. not saying he makes garbage, cause i surely like my lift, just saying.

http://www.boulderbars.com/frankenlift_faq.htm states you get about 2-2.5" of lift but due to saggy springs it may appear to be upwards of 4". I mean, this whole kit comes assembled with bumpstops for 1K, which i would love to get

I was contemplating doing the same thing but if you were to do that you could just as well buy the 2.5" JBA for close to the same price.

Just for the front of the JBA is 1500 then 200 for rear springs and 160 for shocks

You don't have to purchase the coilover front for the 2.5" lift......

You must be looking at the adjust-a-strut front lift for that money. Passing on a warning I received and followed: The "bargain" lift from JBA is actually a Skyjacker lift, and it has light-weight springs that may weaken early like the stock (gasser) springs do.

I agree. That combined with the adjustability is why I ended up going with the Adjust-a-strut front end (Got it in the mail yesterday as a matter of fact! 8) )
