Post subject:  Carbon Fiber Grill - Any Thoughts?

I don't like the chrome components on my KK and am considering de-chroming the exterior completely. I have a black KK with the chrome exterior accent group. I was thinking that a carbon fiber grill might look pretty cool, but would be curious how others would think that might look.

Also, does anyone have any knowledge of carbon fiber. Would it be possible to have a carbon fiber skin applied to the existing grill or would I have to have someone custom fabricate a new grill. Please excuse my ignorance and thanks in advance for any suggestions / comments.

I love carbon fiber... matter of fact I have a sheet of real carbon fiber cloth. The problem is carbon fiber cloth is expensive for the amount needed to do the grill. Carbon fiber is simular to working with fiberglass. Add resin to the cloth and it hardens up, just be sure to use multiple thin layers. Sounds like a good idea if you don't mind spending the cash.

You could consider asking SEIBON... although with them, even the answer might cost too much.
