Yeah, I used to work with that stuff. Comes in pretty big sheets and is a huge PITA!

It looks real good! I did mine for added protection from flying debris. It has saved me a hole where I didn't want one!

Just to clarify things:
the "racing stripes" was just a test... I had some vinyl laying around I installed it... took pics and remove them because I was not happy with the result

thanks, not saying that I hated them... its just that people here in mexico have very bad taste for customizing cars... "mexican rice" is the worst thing there is out there.... I once saw a nissan sentra with a "4x4 decal" along with some others like "sparco, hella, NOS, PIAA, and the list goes on" so I did not liked the idea of people thinking that my XJ was my racing frustrated dream and that I wanted a racing car so bad that I had to add vinyl to it.
so long story short... I took them out....

Digger - didn't you (or somebody) add lath to the bottom section where the tow hooks are too?

I can't seem to find it, but that seems like the most vulnerable spot for flying rocks to me.

Yes Digger, it was a pain but the end result was worth it. Not for the looks but just for the protection. I too had a couple of battle scars but overall won the war

Welp - just ordered my tow hooks (KJ), and Hitch receiver today. Supposed to arrive tomorrow.

I'm hoping I'll be able to get them on this weekend - and while I'm doing the hooks, I hope to tackle the grill as well.

Note to self - wear leather gloves
