You might want to make sure that clear lens are legal in the U.S.,I think they have to be yellow. |

Would you be ok if you use a yellow bulb? |

Its more the color of the bulb and not the lens. If you plan to put a blue or clear bulb in there then you are asking for trouble. Your best bet is to put an amber bulb in there. If you get in trouble for it you will most likely get a "Fix It" ticket. You will have to put everything back to stock and go to the police office to show them that you fixed it. They will sign off on the ticket and you'll be OK. BUT they will keep your info on file and if you get caught again you will get into more trouble then just a Fit It ticket. |

Another question is would it pass inspection?I think it has to be amber on the side markers in the front ,or maybe a amber bulb would be OK. |

It depends on your state on your front bulb color. Its either amber or white in the front here in NE and red or amber for the rear. But here is the kicker, according to almost every state there has to be an amber reflector in the front that can be viewed from the side of the vehicle and a red reflector in the rear also that can be viewed from the side. Now with that said, I have more important things to do than pull people over for reflectors and would only do so if I felt it would end up in something good (guns, drugs or booze). If your state has a DOT inspection they might find it in violation if they have a sharp eye. Simple answer is yeah it's probably "illegal" for a clear/white reflector on the front but it would look a hell of a lot better. |
