I wanted to take a quick poll on how many of you have plain roofs, sunroofs, or skysliders before I started work on some KK roof storage systems. Thanks in advance! |

Registered my Sunroofed KK. We KK owners look forward to you bringing your skills to the KK aftermarket Boiler. For those of you that don't get out of the KK section of the forum often, check out this thread in the fabrication section (photos about 1/3 the way down page 5 of the post). It shows the roof rack Boiler has custom designed and recently fabricated for the KJ. |

Mine has the Sunroof,it came with the Rocky Mountain package. I have heard that some people have had problems with their Sky Slider roof. |

I really wanted to get the sky slider top on my KK, but I keep my cars for quite a few years before selling them. That fact, along with the fact my KK stays parked outside and we can get a fair amount of snow here in the wintertime made decide against it. I just had too much lingering doubt in the back of my head telling me something was bound to happen with the sky slider given enough time. I'm happy enough with the sunroof. It's actually considerably more quiet when wide open than my old PT Cruiser's was. But I'll be the first to admit that when I pass another KK with their sky slider wide open, I get a little jealous! |

Boiler - I would imagine that anything you make for the plain roof, could also be adaptable to the skyslider... If you simply had a riser kit/brackets, maybe 4-6 inches would be enough to satisfy the height requirement for the opening/closing function. Not exactly sure how stable it would be.... but I'm sure it could work. Three risers on each side, that bolt to the rail, and the side of the basket? One other suggestion, would be to have a few of the crossbars in the basket removeable. So that we can decide how many we require in there - if we're not hauling much up there, we can rake a few bars out to make the skyslider open a little more sunny |

Stupid plain roof. Can't stand a solid roof on any vehicle, unless it's a pickup. Check another "plain roof" for me. |

I have to have plain roofs in almost every vehicle. I'm too long bodied for sunroofs, my head is usually dragging all over the thick roof next to them. |
