Post subject:  30,000 Miles

Ok so I have had my 2008 Jeep Liberty 4x2 Automatic for about a year and 30,000 miles on it. So far I have replaced my spark plugs, windshield wipers, oil change and rotated my tires. Not planning on changing air filter since I'm going to install an AEM brute force intake. Anyone recommend any maintenance I should do? I would ask the dealer but I feel I might get ripped off or talked into something I don't need seeing as they quoted me 800 dollars for a lot of things to be done.

Dealer recommended : Cost 800- What I have done = 600
Tire Rotation-Done by a local tire shop-5 dollars.
Oil Change- Done by me
Spark Plug Replacement- Done by me

Air Filter Change
Fuel Injector Check
Throttle Body Check
Differential Check
Transmission fluid and filter change

Fuel Injector Check :? what there to check

Throttle Body Check :? same thing as above

Differential Check you need to drain and refill the front and rear axle fluid.

Transmission fluid and filter change not till 60,000

Also,
Inspect the PCV Valve, and replace if necessary.
Inspect the transfer case fluid, add if necessary

ThunderbirdJunkie recommends doing this every 30,000 miles regardless of color and smell. Cheaper than a new transmission

If your xfer case is leaking at 30k miles, you've got bigger problems than just adding fluid.

Dealer has to do the service since the trans is now sealed. you have to have a scan tool to read the trans oil temp to you can correct the fluid level

If his Transfercase or front axles has Fluid you all own me $1,000,000...

I say this becuase he has a 4X2. no transfercase. No front axles...
LOL     Just joking...

I like the 15K to 30K change tranny and axles fluids.
and once a year change Brake fluid as well.
every 2 years change Power steering fluid.
Change fuel filters if cheap every 30K, if costly change when the book says.

Rotat those tires every oil change and adjust and lube brakes as the same time.
