I noticed this 2 weeks ago, after an hour drive into Chicago I noticed the movement of the shifter was binding slightly, and felt sort of 'gritty.' I didn't think much of it because it didn't do it again for a few days, till the next long highway drive. Now it's happening more often, after about 25-30 min of highway driving, it's starts to get the weird feeling. Even sitting still moving the shift back and forth in neutral it doesn't feel right. (clutch up or down, no difference) I'll probably have to make a trip to the dealer Curious if anybody else noticed this? Digger, any TSB's on the 6-speed I should be aware of? |

I don't know of any thing... How many miles on your KK? Have you checked the level of the fluid? |

26,000 or so, have not checked the level or condition of the fluid. I'll do that Saturday morning, and if I can't come up with anything... guess I'll call the dealer and make an appointment. |

Mr. Nick I have made several long trips, as well as a daily hour commute and I have not noticed this at all. She drives like a dream the whole way. I have about 22K miles. Hope it works out, keep us updated. |

I just reached 23k, I have noticed the symptoms that you describe occasionally. However, I have been on several long trips as well and have not had a problem in those situations. For me, it seems to be intermittent and not related to any specific conditions. There is a very good chance it is just me being paranoid and thinking my shifter feels different...But, I am interested to see if you discover anything... |

It sounds like the tranny fliud is losing its viscosity when warm, and should be changed. |
