Not sure if this has been discussed here recently, but......

In less than 2 years, I'm near the 36,000 warranty on my KK.

I'm considering purchasing the lifetime bumper to bumper warranty from chryslerwarrantys.com

Yeah, I know Chrysler has gone bankrupt, but I hear that the Jeep line, the Dodge trucks, and the Dodge vans are going to stay around, and everything else is on the chopping block to be discontinued.

Any thoughts? I'm trying to spend some money here to help the economy :P

I like the idea of the lifetime warranty.
I found the above link and got on online quote for the warranty.
I then used that quote to get my local dealer to offer the same price.
The savings was like a thousand dollars.

I did the same thing when I bought the Liberty. In California for some reason you can't buy a warranty out of state. So I just told the dealer that I had a quote for the warrenty from another dealer didn't mention anything about it being an on line quote. They met the price so it worked for me. There has been a lot of discussion on if a full warrenty is worth it or not, for me it was worth the piece of mind.

The prices are nice, heck these prices are lower thatn what I was offered when the car was new, now it has a few miles on it.

I am sorta thinging about selling the warranty we bought and buy this one instead.

but with the $100 deductable... as that is the least costly...

We all know things will go wrong, with labor rates at $90 to $120 an hour this can pay for it self fast....

yes, that's the place I'm going to buy the warranty from. The local dealer won't match that price. The dealer where I bought the car from originally said he would match it, but when I went to buy it, he said he couldn't match it and complained about that web site selling the warranty too cheap.

That's been about a year ago. I think I'll call back and give them one last shot at matching that price, then just buy it online if they won't.

well, I thought I would stimulate the economy at my local Jeep dealer, but he wanted $2,900 for the lifetime warranty. I can get it for $1,000 less at chrylserwarrantys.com. I tried to talk him down, but he wasn't budging. Oh well, his loss.

My local Jeep dealer is a Pontiac, GMC, Jeep dealer. They told me that they were losing their Jeep franchise, but would still service the Jeep.

I mean that big dealership had absolutely nobody there, it was really dead. I would have thought that they would have wanted to sell something.

Just curious, do we really have lifetime powertrain warranties?
