Here is the install write up ... viewtopic.php?t=43660 OK, now for the good stuff! JET recommends that you run 91 gas with the stage 2 chip. I don't have 91 so I got the next best thing ... 93! First, right off the bat the transmission shifts A LOT smoother and quicker. This alone will give you a boost in performance. As you go through the RPM band you can really feel a difference in performance. Acceleration is smoother and quicker. Overall this chip is great. Just the transmission improvement alone was well worth the purchase. The rest is just a PLUS! |

Very nice.... I can not wait to get the report after a few tanks of gas... Any chance of going to a shop and getting Dyno report with and without the chip? Glad you got it.. Did you have the Exhuast done? I see you have Intake already. |

i thought that you are supposed to change thermostat to a 180 degree so engine runs cooler. My son has the same chip in his 99 cherokee and i agree it really makes a difference. and your only yalking about $2.00 more per tank full of gas over 89 octane. |

Wondering what the big deal is about a little powerbraking? ThunderbirdJunkie's anemic, running-on-5-cylinders 3.8L V6 86 Thunderbird could do that... Not trying to be Debbie Downer...but.... Does ThunderbirdJunkie want a cookie? ThunderbirdJunkie should learn how not to talk in the third person ... I can do it on dry pavement also, it just so happens it was raining today and for the past week. If you read my post all it says is "MORE FUN ..." nothing more, nothing less ... The 3.7 uses a really odd t-stat,the KJ and KK use the same t-stat and only a 195 degree is offered. |

Yeah ... I'm going to look into that. If I can get them both into some water I can get them both to spin but on dry land I can only get one |

OMGSRYGUISE PERHAPS you should learn how to speak in the third person...it's way more fun. Sheesh. Welcome to ButtHurt City Why would ThunderbirdJunkie jack up other threads and YOU get the preferential treatment? Nonsensical, ThunderbirdJunkie thinks. |

The pissing match stops here. Let's stay on topic. If you have nothing useful to add to this thread, put your hands in your pocket and just keep on walking. Thank you. And why do people have to rain on others parade. I just don't get it. How about we try, "hey that cool. Have fun with it." and move on. Everything is getting so @$#% negative around here. I need a beer. |
