Post subject:  Additional Rear Spring Isolators Installed, Pics

Rotated my tires today, installed 2 additional rear spring isolators on each side, and found out my driver side UPJ is shot. 66% success rate...

Stock isolators, 1 upper and 1 lower. Revtek spacer is already installed.

For the Revtek kit you have to trim the "cone" portion of the lower iso pad so it fits in the recess of the Revtek spacer. Well I put the 'extra' iso pad under the trimmed one, so the overall height is the same... which allows it to fit in Revtek spacer fine. Next 2 pics will show what I mean.

Additional pad installed, slips right on!

This is a piece of cake job! Probably 20 minutes total.

I put my new ones on today aswell. I had only one on the top and none with the spacer on the bottom before. So I put put one on the bottom(none before) and three new ones with the original. I will see how it settles in a few days. Ground to the to the fender in the front is 37-3/4" and the rear before was 37-5/8", now the rear is 39". Now when I have a full load of people and 3 dogs in the back it sits level instead of a inch low like before.

Thank you.

If it doesn't settle much I am going to take an iso out.

i wouldn't unless it's causin problems! i've always thought the back of a vehicle should be slightly higher than the front

it looks right to me!

Looks great! I think I am going to have to do that to my rig. I think it looks good a little high in the rear.

Okey the rear was too high. I took 2 iso's out. There is now 2 on the top and one on the bottom. It looks better now to me. The super high rear made the front look too low.

So re-cap.

Before. 1 upper iso no lower.
Image

After. 4 upper iso's 1 lower.

Now. 2 upper iso's and 1 lower.

Thanks. I am happy now. Good thing it's an easy task. Can we see your new rake with a side view? I like pics.
