well there are a lot of variables when talking about this. First, what tire do you want to run, and is a p rated or LT rated Second, what and how much armor is on the jeep Third, how much crap is in the jeep Forth, any upgrades like exhaust and or intake and or chip. Fifth, manual trans or auto Now I have the 4 inch lift, 100 pounds in armor, 100 pounds of junk, a super 44 muffler, an aem intake, a jet chip, and a manual trans All of my tires are/were LT rated load range D or E My michelin LTX M/S's that I had ranged 18 to 19 city The BFG TAKO's that I run most of the year now are 16 to 16.5 And finally my BFG KM'2's mounted on steel rims are 14 to 15 |

2" lift, 255/65/17 General Grabber AT2 tires, mostly highway driving (56 miles highway every day for work) I was getting high 16.5-17.5 MPG. I installed a K&N intake and I'm always in the 18's. |

There is no real way to answer that ... As digger said there are a lot of variables to take into count. |

Highway driving can be deceiving based on speed, I usually drive 65-75 MPH on the highway. |

How can this be??? I get 17mpg as an average over like 6 months no towing and not much offroading and I am stock stock!! I am not a lead foot and on the highway I go about 70 mph and sometimes 75mph The only time a do push the gas a little bit more is when getting on the highway. |

I don't know about Boblemoche, but Digger and I have 6-speeds which probably helps a bit. |

Although it seems like lots of trucks/cars that are manual get worse mpg than automatic. ie: the fj |

umm FJ is a strange thing. Most of the time mnauls get better gas milage rating vers the Auto. 4 speed Auto vers 6 speed manual. this is why.. If the KK had a 7 speed Auto things would be differant. Also 210 Max HP sucks... this KK needed more like 250 to 300 HP with a good torgue curve to get this beast moving and stay moving. But all that stuff cost more money.... oops waitt not much more... |

I am getting 20 to 22 miles per gallon highway. Sounds like that lift really sucks gas. |

My KK's computer claims I average 15.6 mpg stock. I do drive like a jerk though. I think I am more suited for a WRX than a KK. They should have put 5.7L HEMIs in our KKs. I don't even want to know what kind of gas mileage I'll get after a lift and bigger tires. Ignorance is bliss, I suppose. |

just remember to figure the change in odometer reading with larger tires. There are many calculators on the net that will tell you the difference. mine is mileage x 1.05 / gallons |

mine is mileage x 1.05 / gallons now THAT'S something I never considered..... With larger tires on lots of the KKs here (or KJ, or TK, or whatever)... how does it effect the odometer? When you go to sell the truck, after running 100,000 miles as per the odometer - how many miles are really on the motor/trans? |

I think that is where people loose alot of mileage. mine on the highway doing the math straight is about 16 to 17 but doing it the right way it is 20+ |
