Post subject:  Line-X Bumpers And Fenders?

well ive been thinking about doing my bumpers and fenders in linex my left rear fender is scratched really bad and my front bumper has a hole in it although it does still have the piece behind it so it could be patched maybe. anyway ive been kicking this idea around not sure if it would look as cool as i think. so ill ask my bros on here.

1. do you think ill be able to do the front bumper without it looking like crap or should i buy a new one?

2. do you think its a good idea pros cons etc

3. how much will it cost?

I think it would look sweet. Especially if you sprayed it a different shade of green either darker or lighter to get a 2 tone effect.

I think it would look great. I like black/whatever color contrasts myself. It's why I chose the silver with black flares and bumpers.

I also like the beltline down line-x, if you have many scratches below the side mouldings.

I got a price 250 if I remove the bumpers and fenders myself that's for the bumpers and fenders not to sure on how to take off the fenders it's a lain I'm guessing once I get my wheel bearng sorted out i think I'll just do my headlight black out pinchweld and line-x all done at the same time that is if I can figure out how to fix the hole in my bumper I really don't wanna buy a new one :(

Well, you could always use gel fiberglass to patch the hole, sand it down and you will be good to go...and 250 is one heck of a price

I haven't seen hail here since I was a kid but if that did happen I would have the only light khaki kk on earth that's the only color I like more than my green.

I went to school with a mechanic at my new dealership and he told me to get the flares off i gotta break the plastic rivets then buy new ones and the cost 6 dollars each is this true?

Supposing they're similar to the KJ's rivets, no, that is not true.

They are not $6/ea

Not the best mod I've done to my KJ, but my favorite so far! :D It kinda gives you a unique feel while driving  of course digger, i should ask you.... does it get hot.... i mean REALLY hot inside your jeep if you park it in the sun?

Not any hotter than the green paint made it. I can now touch the outside of the KK after it has been in the sun. Before it would burn you to touch the paint
