Post subject:  Auxiliary Light advice/help?

Hello guys! Nice to stop here! its been a whhile <--(read as stewie griffin would say cool juip),

I miss having the time to post around here... I do some lurking but thats it.

My liberty is pretty much stock... havent done any mods to it except the ones you already know but I want to change that =)

I have always bought hella 500's aux lights for my jeeps, (fog lights) and now I want to add some to my kk...
I want to know the main difference between fog and driving lights (I know they have different output pattern, something like, this will give you a straight beam, this will give you a wide beam.. etc)

I also want to ask mike08: where did you mount your light switch? did you wire them to be on even when the kk is off? or did you hook them up so that unless your main lights the auxiliary ones will work? (factory style, kinda)
in case mike does not respond, where would you guys recommend mounting a light switch?

Ive seen some wireless light switches on the internets, do you guys have any experience with those?

Also, can anyone think of a way to mount aux lights on the mopar bumper (you know the one, the little thing that is just made for looks hehe) WITHOUT drilling a hole through them? (zip ties, silicone, gum, or crazy glue ARE NOT options...)
I almost forgot:

I did want to buy the hood bra for the KK (oem) but my stealership wanted 240 plus tax for it... found it elsewhere for 120 and finally found a steal for 49 bucks! (new and OEM!) =)
Ill post pics when I get it
thanks everyone and best regards!!!!

I wired mine as a complete separate circuit. They can be turned on at any time, even if the Jeep isn't running. Only drawback is you can accidentally leave them on, and drain your battery. But really, if I don't notice that my 100 watt driving lights are on at night and the battery dies, then I deserved it!

I used the switch that came with the kit, and of course the relay. I mounted my switch in the center console next to the 4WD switch.

I still have the question of how to mount my lights on my mopar bumper without drilling it....
And difference between driving and fog lights in plain english?
thanks

Well, as far as I know, driving lights are long range while fogs are wide range... and sometimes it refers to yellow lens on the fogs...

Also, I would just hard wire in the switch, a wireless switch just sounds funny....

BrendonR, I just added that switch to make my self feel better
