i searched and i could not find any decent info. im getting lil unhappy with the suspesion on my 08 along with the tranny shifting perfomance along with some leaking problems so if there are tons of improvements in 2010 i might as well upgrade:)

Classic Jeep® design cues, rugged off-road capability and some innovative bells and whistles, like the available Sky Slider™ Roof, makes Jeep® Liberty stand out from the competition. Add to that its powerful, yet efficient engine and standard advanced safety and security systems, and you have a vehicle that doesn't just stand out from the competition, but rides right over it.

* Seven slot grille
* Available Sky Slider™ Roof
* Comfortable interior
* New active head restraints[1]
* Standard stain-resistant premium cloth
* New fuel shut-off feature that conserves fuel when decelerating
* New fuel saver indicator
* Standard fold-flat front passenger seat
* Standard power heated mirrors
* Standard air filtration
* Trail Rated® with 4x4 capability
* 22 mpg highway[2]
* Five-Star Front Impact Crash Test Rating[3]

For the amount of money that new engine would cost, you'd be better off dropping in a 5.7 hemi. Or if you wanted a save a few bucks the 4.7 V8

Mines limited and I have the passenger fold flat ...

it depends on the package that u get, i forgot the name of the package, convenience or smth like this. but if you get premium package II this feature is not available as far as i know.

ive never heard about phoenix engine going into liberty. grand cherokee and wranglers are the only 2 i know according to allmopar here:
http://www.allpar.com/mopar/phoenix-engines.html
close to the middle there is a table with all models that will get this engine.
but its 2011 anyway. how about 2010 liberty? lets not stray offtopic. any improvements with drivetrain/suspension?

The fold down was part of the convince package.... I have a sport with the fold down passenger seat...........

As far as drive train and suspension.... Their shouldn't be any change to the suspension as the sub - unibody is the same, so basically no major changes. They may have changed spring rates, but I doubt it since that cost money and since they have been using the same spring rates since late 2002 with the KJ.......

Drive train wise, you have the new fuel saving ECM tune and hopefully they have figured out all of the TC/Trans shutter/drone problems, but again, I doubt it since it is the 42RLE we are talking about.....

man all of my negative vibes in this post are jacking with my mo jo this morning :lol:

If you got the $$ anything will fit. Heck if you can rob a bank (and get away with it) I'm sure you could get the 8.4 Viper V10 in there with the right amount of $$.

For what, to get the engine to fit or to rob the bank? BFH is my weapon of choice for bank robberies :lol:

I prefer screw drivers for the bank "work" and C based plastics for engine/uni body "work" :twisted:
