Maybe it is my area, or just the general buyer, or I'm crazy. I see every Liberty (KJ or KK) that is on the road in or near Jackson, TN. I pay attention to the drivers. 90% are 50 year or older Women, another 9% are women younger than 50. In the last 2 months, I have seen 1 male Liberty driver. He was driving about an 06-07 KJ, black, limited, with stock lights on top. Please don't read too far into this, but, yes, I am kinda stereotyping. It also seems that about 45% of Libbies are not 4x4. What is the point??? Anyone else notice these as well??? |

Well this might be true... I know our KK is driven by a woman under 30 90% of the time. I like the taxi service..... Not getting 4X4 is becuase most folks just do not need it. We would did not want it, but the dealer only had 1 in stock with the Sky Slider and it was 4X4 and marked way way down we had no choice... |

Ditto, mostly woman. But I have noticed that the few guys I've seen in KK's do a double take when they see mine. (lift, wheels & tires) But the women don't even notice... That's what this is for:

Here in my area the majority of any jeep driver is female, be it a Liberty, Wrangler, Grand, Patriot, etc. |

Here women drive SUV's I'd guess 5 to 1 vs men. Lot of men driving pickup trucks. I think Liberty is a little more often driven by women than other SUV's. Around here it is like 10:1. It is almost maddening... And you're right, they never even look twice. I think most women see them as a nice looking alternative to the minivan. Even though I can't really imagine a worse choice to compare to a minivan. |

Here, it's mostly women in KKs and about 50/50 in KJs. I read somewhere that one of the reasons Jeep restyled the Liberty into the KK was because they wanted to appeal more to men. |

Rick K-I remember reading the same thing,KK was to appeal to men. Here is something I found on Allpar about the 08 KK just before it came out. The Jeep Liberty is designed to appeal to customers who are looking for Jeep 4x4 capability as well as comfort and convenience. It is targeted to young couples and new families, as well as professional, young single men and women between 30 and 40 years of age, balanced male to female. Jeep Liberty owners will balance day-to-day responsibilities with their passion for adventure as well as the outdoors. They are athletic, and pursue activities that combine their various interests with their active lifestyle. The Jeep Liberty will be available at Jeep dealerships starting in the third quarter of 2007. |

Around here it is more women than men driving the KJ and KK. Probably 70% women. Also, Upstate here no one would buy a 2wd Jeep so everything the dealers order is 4x4. |

I've been flagged down, followed, and among other ways to track me down by other KJ owners to ask about my KJ.Sadly only seen 1 modded KK(Digger's) and 1 lifted KA that the owner(still on the OEM 20" rims/tires) litterly glared at me thinking his AWD was better then my 4WD. |

Used to be here in Toledo more women, but now that the KJs are getting older more men are driving them it seems. But then here all the TV Stations. Police, Various City/ County Departments all drive KJs so you see everyone in them. KKs are mainly women yet One of the lifts I did was a woman who owned a KJ and wanted it lifted to be higher than her husbands WJ ! |

But absolutely none are modded. And maybe 20% I see are driven by men. Most are business men. For some reason, almost all the ones here, do NOT have the stock rear window tinting either.... Strange? |

I agree in the minivan replacement theory. And also that it is a horrible excuse for a minivan. If you want to get a non-minivan get an escape or an envoy (god I hate that name). Maddening is the perfect word too. I look at every Jeep that goes by trying to see some gleam of commonality and 19 times out of 20 there is none. Usually just some sad mope who uses a Jeep purely as transportation and could really care less about it. Hmm, now that I think about it this probably has a LOT to do with some of Jeeps quality reputation problems. Women and clueless men that could care less about their Jeep and thus don't take very good care of it. |

Boiler, I've been thinking about that and really, it's the people who buy a Jeep because they feel safer in it and "it's good in snow" keep the brand going. If only wheelers bought Jeeps, the brand would disappear for lack of units sold. So while you might not get a wave from other Jeep drivers, they're voting with their wallets. |
