Just curious, but has anyone cut their bumper to look more like the Liberator II? I have some inner fender liner damage that is bugging me. Nothing like a small amount of damage, fixed by a lot of cutting and trimming, right??? Right? |

Okay... Let's discuss this. What are some of the problems with doing it? I have one photo of the Liberator, air borne, and I can see there are two "tabs" if you will, that connect whats left of the bumper to a modified skid plate.
I am assuming the skid is also protecting the bottom end of the radiator? What else is down in that area? Has anyone actually seen this monstrosity? Enough for some good input? Another thought of mine would be to just cut out the area in front of the tires... What would be the problem with that? |

There is also the PS cooler down there. That is the main reason for the skid. That is doable, I think... Bob, do you still have your stock bumper? I could pull mine, but that won't happen till this weekend..... |

something I was thinking of, was a little elaborate, and would be Pretty time consuming but it would look better than just cutting. I was going to cut off the bottom two inches all the way, then re attach it to where they cut it off, on the LIberator. That way it would have the rounded off/ finished look on the bottom. Right? PS cooler...can't be moved??? up to the Radiator? Like a DIY Trans cooler? |

the main rad is just behind the psu rad and go as low so unless you want to move the main rad too it wont help much to move the psu cooler some pics of the plastic bumper:

I'm working on the line X thing. Want the hood, and the roof done while I'm at it. I have a unique thing for the hood though. |

Quote: BTW isn't it bad to jump uni-body vehicles? I bet it is. I did a small jump with my step-dad's WJ. Didn't realize the bump coming up (dirt road @50mph) was more like a jump. Maybe a foot in the air, but the landing was really hard. Like, painfully hard. It survived no problem though! Took it to the alignment shop a couple weeks later, nothing noticeable. |
