I noticed this when I bought my KK, but it only bothered me on longer trips. Now my lower back is starting to hurt on a somewhat regular basis, and I think it's because the seats have too much lumbar support. I haven't dug around yet, but I wonder if the seat cover is removable (zippers, snaps etc...) Then I could shave down the foam a bit, and contour the seat back shape the way I'd like. I'm a bit concerned that the cover might not fit snug after I'm done though. Also thought about getting seats from a Limited, but I'd have to check into pricing, and if the lumbar adjustment even goes "back" enough to make it comfortable for me. Maybe seats from a Wrangler or Commander would be better and possibly even bolt in... Anybody else notice this issue in the first place? My height (6'6") makes it difficult for me to get comfortable in many cars anyway. So... unfortunately I'm used to doing stuff like this. |

Mine only bothers me after 8+ hours of bouncing around while wheeling... There was one "junk yard" site on flea bay that was parting out different KK's and I think a set of leather seats could be had for under $400 |

I have no problem with My KK seats.I have 5 herniated discs in my low back, and can go on a Hr. trip with no problem.I had a 03 Tribute and that was brutal for my back and needed a seat pad. |

darn, really? Mine have absolutely NO lumbar support that I can feel. There is a bar in the seat down there, but not much padding. Everyone's different I guess. |

Going to get my hands on a dual blade meat carver and start trimming and reshaping the foam. |
