I only have 2k on my Jeep and the navigational compass in my dashboard isn't working. Says I am always going South. Is this a sign of things to come? Not so happy.... |

Might have just froze ... Try a reset, disconnect the negative battery for 30 sec and then reconnect. If that doesn't work then check with the dealer. |

If the above mentioned doesn't work, stealership - yelling "warranty!" Perhaps it's a subtle hint from your vehicle that it's too cold in your location... Oh yeah, just curious, how're you liking your Westin bullbar? I was looking into them, but wasn't sure if I wanted to go that route. |

I really like the Westin - I particularly like that it's black. Seems every other one I looked at that fit was chrome and it just felt a little too "blingy" for me. Have yet to try the rest, but when it warms up a bit I will go out there and give it a shout. I have been in 10-22 degree weather all weekend, but it makes no sense for a compass to stop working in the cold, does it? Hmmm.... |

It should tell you how to re-orient your compass in the owners manual.... something about going in circles 3 times... or something. Check the manual.

Cold is not suppose to effect this. OEM parts have to be able with stand -40 degreese F and 160 dregreese F. maybe more on both side. I will have to look in my folders for the real numbers. The place I work for has these data for when we sold Nav for the ealry Liberties. But it could need a recalibration. As this is Electrical I would not be seeing this are a magic 8 ball seeing the furture. But make sure you are having the Jeep checked out every 3K to 6K miles stuff. THis goes for all things on the road..
