I haven't got a lift yet but if I was going to do a budget lift I would do the RockKrawler 3.5". The reason I would choose that is: 1. Installation should be easier than spacer lift. 2. increase of around 3" versus 2" or 2.5". 3. I feel the front struts don't get the abuse as if it had spacer lift. Important note, the RK forks still abuse the struts in my understanding. Best way as you will see is going w Jeepinbyal and choosing 2.5" or the sweet 4" either choice will be superior to any of the other choices and those are my ![]() Oh and to answer your question if between spacer only, I would do Daystar as #1 choice cause a few people that have them here never complain and back them up plus I think they are the cheapest of the 3. #2 Revtek they have been out for a while and 3rd Skyjacker cause w the technology and experience they have left us w just a spacer option, they could do a better suspension system for KK, yet they haven't. Something to consider, spacer will affect the ride quality. |

Don't forget to get new longer shocks. Because the stock ones will top out and pop the seals, with a spacer kit. |

i had the RK lift b4 i did all my JBA components and i loved it. It was inexpensive and very reliable. U will definately need longer rear shocks, but u can get a new set for like 150$ for some nice ranchos or bilstein. |

the 3.5" Rk is more like a 2", maybe 2.5" lift if youre lucky. i have the RK lift and hopefully switch over to the JBA4 this weekend. its alright for its price and ease of install but there is contact with the spring and the control arm in the front. if you had jba arms it wouldnt be a problem. if i were to buy a small lift again i would just buy the normal JBA 2.5" lift kit, not the coilover style in front though. its a cheap suspension replacement lift kit and will ride better then the factory stuff with a spacer lift on it. |

Only problem Dirty is that the JBA 2.5" is more than twice the price of the RK lift. But u are right about the coil/UCA contact with compression, however it really isnt detrimental to either of the 2 parts besides a lil paint rubbing off or chipping. |

And how is the rear lifted on a RK lift? by isos? JBA is the way to go. |

The rear is a 2" thick polyurethane spacer. Its actually one of the bigest thickest poly-style spacers that ive ever seen for a jeep application so that would make think that its darn durable. However there is no getting around the need for longer rear shocks to compinsate for the longer extension of the tube, just as with the JBA And as long as your not planning on fitting anything bigger than a 245/75, there is no need for longer bumpstops |

Ive been running the Daystar for about 10K Miles now with a total of 31K on the KK and it rides like a TANK. Sadly my friends JK Unlimited rides a million times better on road even with his SFA. I didnt listen to others who told me not to get a Spacer lift because the spacers price was so good looking and now im paying for it. If i could go back i would have just saved my money for a true JBA lift which is what im doing now so i can get rid of this junk spacers. |
