Got in the jeep the other morning, and the line display says "Gate". No amount of opening/closing the hatch makes any difference, and doubleclicking the button on the remote does nothing as well. I've been driving around with the interior lights turned off and getting by okay, but will someday need to get this fixed. The dealer says it's going to be fairly involved figuring it out.

Anyone else seen this?

hmm so the rear flipper glass won't open? my guess would be to open and close the tailgate... then try another remote for the flipper glass, it could just be a problem with the key fob. also i would try disconnecting and re connecting the battery cause sometimes its just a stupid error... the car might read it as open and thats why the button won't work.... worth it a go befpre the stealership... it it does happen to be a mechanical error its not too hard to release the mechanism yourself ( if its covered under warranty let them do it but if they r gunna charge u i can walk u through a few steps to try stuff out)

Nice find Digger - you are THE man dude. Wierd how it could function normally until some arbitrary point in time, and then it all of a sudden needs the wires reversed? Dunno - sounds fishy to me. Regardless, looking forward to coming down there... What're you doing next week? Maybe Monday 4/19?

I had this issue randomly one day, and it drove me nuts trying to figure it out. I came out the next morning and the issue was gone, and has not appeared since (three or four months). Glad to know there is a TSB though, I will probably just have them fix it next time in.

Thanks for the find Digger.

Well, this went away too, after about 2.5 weeks. Got in the other day and saw I broke 50K miles while it said Gate all the time. Woot.

Ha ha... Was driving down the road yesterday, heard the chime and the interior lights came on. Apparently the Gate is open again.

Right? How about we make plans to hang out again in a couple of weeks so it starts working again?
