Hi all, I've spent several hours researching this topic and I'm kinda lost on what to do. My oem Forteras will not be with me next winter and stock replacements are very limited. I drive about 100 miles round trip to work and most of my 4wd usage is in dealing with snow and Michigans crappy roads. Offroading is generally surrounding hunting activities and makes up a very small percentage of my driving. I've had 2 wranglers in the past but this is my first Liberty. I'd like to put bfg ta/ko's on the Lib, but the closest size they make to my oem 235/60-18 is a 265/65-18. This tire appears to be an inch larger radius than the 245/70-16 that seems to be accepted as the largest that will fit without a lift. So, to those of you with more experience than me; 1) Do you think the 265/65-18 will fit or can the lib be easily modified to makle it fit? 2) can anyone recommend a better tire with a compatible size keeping my 18 inch wheels? 3) I am considering a lift primarily to improve the appearance of the Liberty. It just seems to need it. Two inches seems to be about right looking at other peoples rigs. I dont know that I want to drop 2 grand on the project but I am leery of just putting a spacer in. I know that's a lot to drop on all of you, but am really interested in your opinions. Thanks, Dan |

my only suggestion with this is that i know someone fit a 265/45/20( it was a nitro with 20" rims), on a truck lowered 2 inches with minimal rub... how big is the 265/65/18.... do you kno the diameter? |

Looks like my 18 inch will be 2.2 inches bigger diameter than the 20 I think I'm either going to another tire or a lift. Think I'll be talking with Marlin. |

Pirelli makes their Scorpion series tire in the stock 235/60/18 size. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... mpare1=yes |

New here to Liberty's, wife got a 2010. I drive a lot of miles [ 09 rambox crew , 45,000 in 1 yr.] Go to tire rack. com to reserach tires, they have reviews on them also?

Dan - I am in the same boat as you. Want a small lift and some more meat on the 18's. It's the wife's KK and she likes the stock 18 wheels so I'd like to keep them. I ran wheel spacers on my JK with no problem so I figured they'd be OK on the Liberty. |

So if you are wanting a lift just do it one and be done!! OME 927/948 and Rancho 17505/17004! |
