k these all depend on ur mech skill on how long these take to install ive worked on alot of cars in my time so this was a breeze.....drivers side is by far more time because of the battery tray and the fuse block u have to move out of the way to reach the top strut bolts....drivers side with mech skill about 45 min from the time i took the tire off till i bolted it back on and went to the pass side.....pass side with mech skills about 18min on the dot from the time i pulled the wheel off till i bolted it back on and let the libby down and wala done..... my rock krawler kit will be here today or tomorrow and i will install that with before and after pics stacked with the shims..... thanks again boiler and if u have a kk and are thinking about ordering these shims DO IT!!!!!

Pardon my ignorance. What are "Boiler Shims"?

When I was in the Air Force I used to send newbies out to get some prop wash and a six foot section of flight line. Boiler Shims .. Must be a Navy thing....

I couldn't see any difference in the pictures, Is this like "Where's Waldo?"

Having already done this there is 5/8" to about 3/4" of lift with a 3/8" shim. It is noticeable and improves the look of the KK. Not huge but an improvement on the nose dive look.Cheap alternative for those of us who cant afford a "real" lift. Yes Boiler offers a good product/price. Lets hope he'll make more things for the KK.

"Boiler Shims" are top plate shims produced by Boiler....me. I also make roof racks, gas tank skids, radiator skids, and I'm currently working on a rear bumper. The shims can be used to gain a small amount of lift by themselves, or in conjunction with another lift, like OME/Rancho type lifts for some extra height.

I got my shims today... Thanks Boiler. Will have them installed soon. Just want to verify something though... It was said the lift gives approximately .75" of lift. I just want to verify if this is correct cause i want to plan ahead so i get my truck as level as i can the first time around when i do my lift

I didn't measure mine before I did the shims. I was rotating my tires it was up on jack stand. When a friend came over helped do the shims. So I went to the dealership found an 08 and measured it.I have different tires but they are stock size.So that's how I got that measurement.

Hmm, I've heard that before somewhere but I can't remember where...

Someone was confused about the product so I enlightened them. I'm not here to sing and dance, I'm here to make cool stuff for the Liberty and to get things into the hands of those that want them. Call it whatever you want. :SOMBRERO:

Hey don't you have another 20 or 30 threads to write about a lightbar? :goink:

edit: wait a minute...this thread was ABOUT my shims being installed. I think its fair to talk about them here...my name is in the thread title for Pete's sake! :-)r
