We have a 2010 liberty with tow package. I am surprised in the manual it requires a Weight Distributing Hitch for a trailer with a tongue weight over 200 Lbs. I don"t understand the reasoning of such a low tongue weight limit without a WDH. I hitched up our trailer which has a tongue weight of 330 Lbs. loaded. I measured the front fender of the Liberty and with the trailer connected the difference in fender height was 3/8 ". And when towing it handles very good. Why would I need a WDH ? David |
