Alright folks, here's the deal, just found out I am deploying to the desert in January. While downrange I will have nothing to spend all that hard earned cash on. I would like to spend AT LEAST 6 grand on upgrades to the KK. I know for sure I will get a 4" JBA lift kit. Other than that, I would like some suggestions on what should be next. Comments would be great. Looks like I will have upwards 2.500 to work with.

next time i go to the desert im paying off my Jeep and buying a new living room furniture set.

if you want to spend the money on mods i would at least wait til you come back. by then there might be more available like bumpers and snorkels or you might change your mind and trade the KK in for something more capable. who knows, last time i went to the desert i had all my debt paid off and was going to put an ls2 in my 240sx. i sold it before i even got back to the states. now im in more debt then before i left. :lol:

with the lift you're probably gonna want some tires, which for a set of 5 M&B will cut into that 2500

add a little more if you go to steelies in the process, but subtract it back if you plan to sell the stock rims

a rear hitch and recovery point insert, roof rack? interior goodies like slush mats etc , i'm sure you'll find something to do with that left over cash ;)

and if youre going to 32" tires youre gonna want to regear, and it goes on and on and on and.... you get the point :lol:

mine is getting regeared in 3 weeks :mrgreen:

what trans do you have because i could spend 1500 for you if you have the four speed 42RLE tranny with a rubicrawler 2.72: 1 reduction box that wont change drive line length

Since the tires on the Jeep now are pretty awesome, and I haven't had them a year yet, I will most likely keep them until they wear out and get maybe the new Wrangler MT/R. I think maybe roof rack, wheels, and recovery point all away around may be a good place to start. I also love the way the whinch looks on the front so I may go with that on the front and a simple D-ring in the trailer hitch. As far as my tranny is concerned, it is a 6 speed but I don't think I will do anything with that for a while.
