Has anyone with a 2010 KK taken it back to the dealer for any type of work? Not feeling it right now. Looks like i gotta go in for a few things. Tranny is acting weird, AC doesnt give cold air the way it should, rear window leaks, the weather stripping on the passenger rear door keeps falling off as well. I've seen a few tsb's out there that should cover these things but I just dont understand why i should have to take it in if they know about these things. Maybe theres something i missed.

Oh man, sounds like you've had some bad luck! I don't have a 2010, but I've apparently dodged all those types of problems... Good luck with the repairs. It's nice that they fix those things, but they can never give you back your time wasted at the stealership.

haha, as i was reading this.. sounded like about half of my issues..

my rear window leaks sometimes, but just a little bit.. i think there was a TSB about it.. i haven't bothered to take it in as it would be more of an inconvenience for me.. same thing with the EVIC showing the wrong temp.. sometimes it seems pretty close and sometimes its way to high.. like showing 100+ on a low 90s day..

also have had some funny transmission issues lately.. sometimes my AC acts up also..

never had a problem with weather stripping though..

have had some squeek problems, asked about it once, and they said it could 'take a while' to diagnose, so i said forget it.

what year is yours? I think the weather stripping is stretched so it probably has to be replaced. Thats my guess because all the other ones are fine. Im just scared one of the kids will open the door and it falls off without notice and then thats when the rain comes in the car and the fun starts. What kind of squeak problem do you have. I also have squeaks in the cabin area while driving. its like theres something loose. I was thinking it had to do with the center console.

i have a 2010..

I have a squeek that sounds like its related to suspension, but i hear it in the cabin, so it could be just related to when the suspension tweaks a certain way..

sounds like a plastic on metal or plastic on plastic rub.. not real loud and i dont hear it alll the time, but i can't track it down.

i thought it might have been the plastic on the tailgate, but i tore it off, and still was there.. pushed around the panels in the back and couldn't replicate it.

try to put pressure on the center console. The squeak was annying me one day so i tried to lean on the center console and it went away. Its funny cause you think that getting a new car you wouldnt have issues like this but sad enough they are there. Im pretty sure they know about these too, i mean is it really a coincedence that two 2010 Liberty's have the same issues....

When my wife is driving and I am in the front passenger seat there is a noise around the door frame as if the door is not a tight fit. I thought maybe it has to do with flex in the body because it is not a rigid body design. The back window I have not noticed it leaking. In the manual it says you have to drive about 2 1/2 miles for the temp gauge to calulate a acurate temp. It starts out at about 80* then climbs up to the 90's the current temps in Fl. Our Liberty is a 2010. David

Just trolling up some of these old threads, my used 2010 has a squeak in it somewhere. Can't for the life of me figure out where it is. SOMEWHERE in the cabin but i have put pressure on all the dash and center console and nothing...

I also have an odd noise with the door panel sometimes when turning. It's like the metal clips holding the door panel on are moving in the holes or something. It's sad when i just traded in my 2002 liberty with 107,000+ miles and NEVER EVER had a single squeak.. :(

My 2009 squeaks from the drivers seat belt, at the bottom near the center console. I have to push it forward to make it stop. I keep saying I am going to try to get some WD40 in there or something but haven't done it. I thought it was the seat for a long time.

Some issues ive fixed:

Went off roading for the first time annndddddd my AC started to smell like coolant :banghead:

---> ended up that my heater core blew a valve or some crap and the dealerhsip fixed it for free.

Squuking while driving..

---> it sounded to me like it was coming from the drivers seat so i had the dealership check and tighten down the bolts on the driver and passenger seats to ensure they were good. The squeeking persisted after a short time and so i dont know..

Ive considered it may be the springs in the seat..but im not a big guy s i can imagine ive compressed them that much..

Ive considered that its some hunk of plastic some where with the center consol...havnt been able to find it.

After reading the prpblems above i think i will check the ceat belt section and see if thats all in order.

good luck gents with the issues.

Yep, i **think** thats my issue to. Last night i was out combing through the jeep looking for anything loose and wiggled the seatbelt and bam, squeaks! I put some lube in it and its not completely gone but its better. I need to get some white lithium grease, that "sticks" better. The stuff i had will dry up after awhile i think.

Wow. Sounds like some really bad luck in this thread. No squeaks or rattles from my 2010. Actually it's built better than my '06 KJ and WAY BETTER BUILT THAN MY '08 WK.

I've had slight leaking on the rear window and both passenger weather stripping has slipped but I just put some glue and they've stayed in place since.
