Am I missing something?

Post subject:  Am I missing something?
I went to the dealership for an oil change and for them to check my water pump a few weeks ago. I just took a look under the hood and I found these two screws coming out of the firewall with nothing on them. I didnt notice them before so Im wondering if the dealership forgot to put something back on. Im inclined to say Im missing something because there is an imprint on the firewall where there looks like there was oval-ish part attached there. Its to the left in the compartment all the way in the back behind what I think is the ECU. Here are some pics. Ideas?

Oh yea. Its a "10 liberty if that makes a difference.

Nothing on mine. I think the imprint is part of the mold of that liner. My best guess is that either the 4.0l nitro or the 2.8 desiel liberty might have something that belongs there. Chrysler would use the same firewall and most parts for that matter for cost savings.

Ohhh alright. That makes sense. Ive heard so many stories about the dealerships forgetting parts and leaving tools that I just wanted to make sure I wasnt going to be one of those stories.

No doo doo, just went to look and found a blue rag, from my last oil change at the dealership, hanging from one of those screws :banghead: but i can safely say ive enver noticed any thing there before.

I wish they WOULD leave me some tools. As long as I find them before they fall down into something and wreak havoc.

I learned long ago to never ask that question. It just invites ridicule. :ROTFL:

Seriously though, I have noticed the same thing on mine and just figured they were holding something to the firewall on the other side (part of heater box or something to that effect). Could be threaded holes on the other side not requiring nuts.

:lol: Happened to me on my 350Z, I got back home after an oil change only to hear rattling, so I opened up the hood and found me a couple new screwdrivers...

... I've found swivel sockets under the intake in my 87 TA, rags in the 84 XJS battery box, screwdrivers and a wrench in the back of my 88 XJ6, and just one rag so far in the 08 KK.
