When I was originally looking at wheels I wanted these: http://www.procompusa.com/productlist.a ... tid=100073 But then I read about how 15" wheels won't fit the calipers correctly unless they were steel wheels. Then after more searching, I found another set that I liked: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BRW-908B681245/ Before coming to this forum I was new to wheels/offsets and all of that. I learned about backspacing and how Liberty's come stock with a negative (-32?) offset. I've been searching through a ton of threads on lifts (body vs suspension), pounding out the pinch weld, JBA/RRO control arms and their effect of increasing how far the tires stick out, etc. So before killing myself from trying to research this, is it possible to fit 16x8 wheels with 0 offset on a KK without rubbing? Is it feasible to do it stock? With just a body lift? And if not, does anyone know of 16x7 wheels with a similar look to what I'm going for? (Not the cragar soft 8's, I don't want a glossy look). |

Depends.... Are you putting any rubber on them?

Yeah, I was trying to decide based on an answer... I'm still not sure what I'm aiming to do though. I was thinking of keeping it stock at first with 235/75/16 tires. But the thought of doing a Daystar lift with 245/75/16 was also in my head, but after reading so much about how I should just save up for a suspension lift since it will be better in the long run, I'm not really even sure what I'm doing yet. All I know for sure is as far as looks go, I kind of like the way tires sticking out from the fenders look, and I really like the flat black wheel look.Edit: Let's just say for sanity's sake (mine |

![]() ![]() Heres a couple pics of my 16x7 Cragars with 245/70/16 rubber. The 245s stick out more than the stock GoodYears and I think it looks pretty solid. The only thing I would be weary about with the 16x8s is extra weight. Steel rims weight significantly more than the stock alloys, and any thicker tire is gonna add some more pounds as well which is alot more unsprung weight. I was looking to get the meaner look with the wheels sticking out but in the end I decided to kind of tone down the looks in lieu of better performance. |

Thanks for the input, the wheel I'm looking at now is Alloy (I am not sure if they sell steel wheels with a flat/matte black look unless they are powder coated). It seems like everyone around here sticks with 7" width wheels. If I'm looking at an 8" width wheel with the same offset (considering I'm running the exact same tire size as the 7"), would I need to worry more about rubbing? |

they will stick out too far and you will rub regardless of lift or not, just get the 16x7 cragars and paint them to your liking and they will still be way cheaper then the other rims your wanted. |

This is what I was looking for, just not really the answer I wanted. Either way I found a new set that I could use that are 16x7 steelies http://www.4x4groupbuy.com/store/black- ... e0750533bd |

you can find the same rim cheaper under various names, dunno if they would be matte black though. you could just leave them dirty like i did my cragars and then you cant tell theyre gloss. |

Dirty is right, unless I really polish mine up the gloss finish is hard to see. Jeeps are supposed to be dirty anyway, so take em on the trails a few times and you will have the "Mud Matte" finish in no time.

I'm running 245/70/16 General Grabber AT2's on 16x8 Vision 375 Warrior 5-114.3 0GBF rims. I have barely any rub at all. They rub when I cut the tire fully and they rub if my tire is cut slightly going up a steep terrain while one tire is lifted more then the other. If I put a lift on it, it wouldn't rub at all. |

Did you see the KK Wheel and Tire Survey from back in 2009, including the table I posted at the bottom of page 1? Just sharing in case that may be of any help. |
