please post websites where you bought your tow hooks for 2010 kk also I spoke to several people and mopar said they recommend only using passenger side tow hook and apparently its advised to only use that side and not the driver side, anyone else hear that? has anyone used driver side hook and had problems? |

Get the KJ hooks. They will fit the KK and you can get the two for about what one KK hook goes for if i remember correctly. Still haven't bought mine, but thats what I plan on doing. |

the power steering cooler lines run on the driver side which is probably why they say that. not a big deal really. i had both KJ hooks on mine, not sure there is even a difference in the KK hook. |

The Driverside has the thick hoses running right next to where the hook mounts, I guess they're saying not to use it to cover themselves. I would put still put both on, and in the event you need to use them, use the passenger side. And there is definitely not a difference in the KJ hooks, versus the KK hooks. |

The hooks are the same but the KK has a peice of metal with two studs through it ("W" bolt) it and the KJ has an "M" bolt. Both are rated for 5000 lbs. and the KJ fits just fine. The installation is different because the W bolt has to be fished through the subframe and mopar doesn't recommend doing it. I couldn't get a straight answer from the dealer as to why just something about the way it bolts up. I got mine from summit racing for somewhere around seveny bucks delivered. That's for two. If you want to purchase the kk ones that came in the package from the factory they're about $120.00 each. Again, the hooks and the bracket are the same between the KK and the KJ. Hope that helps |

I was looking to install tow hooks on my 10'KK. I went to the dealer for a routine service and inquired about the tow hooks. They told me the same thing that you should only get the passenger side because the driver side tow hook is too difficult to install. So I bought the passenger side, installed it. I think I am going back to get the driver side to do. I had gotten stuck one day without em so I won't make that mistake again LOL! |

So, does the tow hook for the kk come with the same bolt set-up as the KJ? I was just wondering. I put a set of KJ hooks on mine and they were very easy to install. |

I went through JParts.com to get the KJ hooks for my KK. Easy to install with the M bolts but you will have to be patient when snaking them through the mounting holes. Driver side hook fits fine with the nearby hoses. Passenger hook is out of view in the photo.

I took mine off when I installed an Aries Brush Guard. They are just lying in the corner of the garage. I couldn't get the M bolts out due to the bracket. If anybody wants them make me an offer and I can throw them in a box. You would still need to get the M bolts from the dealer (or are they W bolts?) They came off my 09 KK. |

As I was waiting for my Lib to be serviced, and hopefully an update on the radio situation (clock keeps losing time a minute a week) which won't be fixed until 2012. I priced a driver side tow hook from my dealership - $177.00. Should I: A) Call other dealerships for a better price and/or B try an aftermarket store? If (b) any difference in quality? Thanks |

Or option C: wait for someone to sell some in the for sale section. I got one for brand new for $25 with no hardware. There is a way to mount them with plain ol bolts without taking off the bumper. |

Either wait for someone to sell some. Or buy from another source other than the dealership. Don't buy universal tow hooks, they won't work without a lot of customizing. Buy the Mopar KJ hooks and call it a day. There were many many many threads about the "M" bolts for the KJ. They do not sell that bolt separately. Only with the hook kit. It is possible to make the hooks work without the "M" bolt. You just have to take off the bumper and put nuts and bolts from inside the frame. I put my KJ hooks I bought for my truck on TJS2010's KK, and they went on like they were made for them. (Because they are the same hooks). |

I didn't even have to take off the bumper. I just fished regular bolts with washers through a hole in the side of the frame and held the bolts with vise grips to tighten the nuts. |
