Went to a shop this morning and had my spark plugs replaced. During, the mechanic noticed that the overfill coolant tank was almost empty. Not quite, but almost.

Just under 33,000 miles on the Jeep, and he refilled the resevoir with almost an entire bottle of orange coolant.

Is this a cause for concern? I hadn't touched it, assumed/thought it was full and am not used to having to monitor this on such a new car. Anyone have any thoughts? My 2005 Liberty would burn a bit of oil, but never lose coolant as far as I remember.

1st did he use HOAT coolant? Most shops but a dealership do not ever use or stock HOAT coolant and only use OAT coolant(AKA Dexcool) which does not mix with your coolant, and no coolant is universal like many claim.Time for a trip to the dealership for a coolant flush and pressure test(to find the leak).

Thanks man... You are probably right. I am so unfamiliar with what coolant is in there or what he used. I have a coupon for coolant flush and pressure test, so I'm going this next week.
