ReDkK wrote: What compressor would you recommend? not too expensive though. Where do you hook it up to? whats the best way? It all depends on what you want to run off it. How much air do you need? Do you want it to have 100% duty cycle? How big of an air tank do you want to fill up? Do you need fast fill for the air tank? |

Thanks for the feedback. I need a compressor to inflate my tires. I got a beach permit so after I air down I need to refill them. I tried hooking a compressor up to the cigarette lighter but it didn't work so I was looking into ones that hooked up to the battery. I'm getting an air horn installed though and wanted to see if i could just use the compressor that is going to be hooked up to the horn. |

if the compressor has a resevere tank thats larger than a gallon you might be able to get away with it... most air horn compressors are tiny tho unless you get a huge unit |

Ive had to inflate my tire using the lighter with a craftsman air pump good for 120 psi (it was free) and blown the fuse twice ( i got a ten pack just incase) I was thinking that my next one will have leads to use off the battery. I have a harbor freight in town. Im going to check it out. |

If you get one of these kits you can do both, operate air horns and fill tires. I have a kit like this on my work truck and I can fill an 80 PSI from 0-80 in about 5 minutes. If all you need to do is add 15-20lbs of air you can fill each tire in about a minute. http://www.hornblasters.com/products/ca ... ir-systems |

I know this is an old topic, but where are people mounting their on board compressors? Pictures would be greatly appreciated. |
