You can try running HID headlights, but be warned there have been complaints of problems from guys running these on the kk. The headlight bulb size is H13/9008
Ddm tuning is one place to get them. Another brand, although cheap, my buddy swears by is xentec. I have seen them on his trailblazer and they look good and no problems for about a year. Make sure you get the relay harness with hids.
They are pretty much plug and play so i think you can handle installation.
These are not street legal so be warned on that too.

I just want to chime in on the Xentec brand, I think they are amazing.
Had the same ballasts for three years.
Enjoy. 8)

I have an 08 KK. The original headlamps in the vehicle were the worst that I've ever seen. I think I even posted something here about that way back in about 2007 or 2008. I've just been living with them until recently when one of them burned out. I was in a rush, it was late night and wanted to get it replaced. The guy at Pep Boys recommended the Sylvania Silverstar lamps. I got the H13 ST/2 lamps. There is a world of difference between the OEM lamps and the Silverstars. These are much brighter and whiter, the way a headlamp should be...... without going to those (illegal in some states) blue bulbs, and annoying your fellow driver :D
