i replaced my headlights a few months ago with silverstars and when i put them in the headlight connector didn't seem to seat quite right and for a while it was fine but lately i have it vibrate loose and the headlight goes out. i compared both bulbs and they oem and silverstar appear to be identical in shape and size. i can't remember if the little red tab slides all the way towards the front of the vehicle or the back. it seems that this may be the issue why it isn't connecting properly. if anyone has had a similar experience or knows what could be wrong let me know.

The Red tab should slide towards the bulb to be closed

yea that's what i thought but i can't seem to get it towards the bulb. not sure what the problem is, i guess i will have to take a look at the two bulbs again and see if the tabs are different. thanks for your help.

yea i pushed really hard and the red tab broke. i tried first with the oem bulbs that i still had and i couldn't get it to latch on to those so its not the silverstars. i taped them up and have spare tape in the back of the jeep. so far so good, did a few trips on gravel roads and with the vibration they are still on so problem solved for me.
