Got myself an 08 sport back when I was in college. Its growing up all too fast. How's everyone else doing with age? Suprisingly I haven't had any problems except for a loose wire connection in the rear light. Gotta love it. |

Also have to keep in mind in the first month I got mine I drove it from Anchorage, Alaska to CT. 5k right off the bat. Wish I never got yelled at by the police for the Alaska plates though. |

Very happy to see some high mileage KKs here. My mom had almost 90K on her Nitro before she turned it in. She had no warranty problems with that truck. It was only after we turned it in that the dealer found a small transmission leak but it was said to be very minor. She had the 4.0L V6 engine. |

From what I can remember, the W5A580 behind the 4.0L in the Nitro is a little bit of a leaker. |

I'm at just under 96K and i've had no problems *knock on wood* other than swapping out the battery and the usual items such as brakes, tires, etc. |

56K and change on my 08. No major problems other than a bad seal around sunroof that was fixed under warranty awhile ago.

Great to hear about the longevity. My wife has a 2011 and we'd like to keep it a while. |

I have just over 70K on my 08 KK. I purchased the lifetime bumper to bumper warranty or I think the call it the Maxicare Warranty. I think I paid around $1,600 for it. About a year or so ago, I was getting an oil change at the place that normally changes my oil and the guy told me that I had a leaking front strut. So I got the front struts replaced under the warranty.. my cost - $100. This past week, my son was driving my KK to come pick me up. The little battery light lit up. He parked the car and when we went to get in it, it would not start. So we called the number for the Maxicare roadside service and had it jump started and drove home. On the way home, the battery light was going on/off and every other warning light was going on and off on the dash, and finally the check engine light came on and stayed on. We made it home and parked it. The next morning, the car would not start again. Again, I called the number for Maxicare roadside service, they came and jump started it and I drove it over to the Jeep dealer. So I tell the dealer about it, and also tell him to do a transmission flush/filter in while I'm there. So he does the transmission service, calls me and tells me that while he has it up on the rack that he notices that my water pump is leaking, but that is covered under my warranty, and that I have a bad alternator and that is also covered under my warranty. So I get a new alternator, new water pump... my cost - $100 Plus $179 for the transmission flush and filter. Oh, and the warranty paid for a rental car for me for 2 days while they worked on my Jeep So far, I think my warranty has worked pretty good for me. |

I'm very happy with my choice of buying this Jeep. I only had one problem with her but even then I think that it could have had something to do with the crash I had. |

85k now and all sorts of problems. Last one was the airbag clock spring failed - had the rear gate sensor, the rear glass sensor, the electronic 4x4 shifter, all kinds of e-brake problems, trim pieces falling off the seats/doors/etc, serpentine belt tensioner, some minor clutch issue, you name it, it's probably been fixed at least once. If I were on the hook for paying for any of this, I'd be pissed! Can't believe Jeep thought it'd be a good idea to offer a lifetime warranty on these things. Can only imagine what this list is going to look like at 200K. |

If you sale the car, the warranty is done for.... which is what most people do anyway within 3-5 years of owning a car. Then you are going to have some people that forget to take it up to the dealership for inspection every 5 years. There is only a handful of people that will get more money out of the warranty then what they put in..... I hope that I'll be one of those people LOL |
