I have been experiencing an issue with my 08 KK where the head lights are flickering on and off while driving. I first noticed it while driving early one morning at about 4 am. I noticed it again this morning. For some time, I have had issues with the drivers side light not coming on when I unlock the doors but when I tap the lens, it comes on. I am thinking I may have a loose connection because this morning, I was able to bang around on the fuse cluster under the hood and was able to have the lights flicker while doing so. Has anyone else experienced this? Any better direction of where to begin looking for my issue?

Brian

That tends to be the voltage regulator - however depending on the model it's built into either the alternator or one of the computers...

probably need a dealer to accurately troubleshoot

however a quick test would be to plug in a voltmeter and see how much it fluctuates.

i know it sounds silly... but make sure your headlight harnesses are completely plugged in all the way... i just had the same issue and it resolved my problem. I play around alot under my hood so i probably bumped em loose but ya never know especially if you have changed headlight bulbs etc.

Also think about cleaning and resetting the battery terminals.

Also check all the groungs related to the headlights...

I hope it is a loose conection or something under warranty

I just replaced both headlamps... then had my alternator and water pump replaced under warranty. About a day or so later, I noticed the drivers side headlamp out. I reached in and reseated the lamp, and all seems to be well now. I did go back to the dealer, and he insured me that there is absolutely no way that they were anywhere near that headlamp plug... whatever, reaseating it seems to have fixed the problem...
