I'm looking to add some off road lights to my KK and I'm having a hard time deciding what the best was to accomplish this is. I have the SkySlider, so I can't really do a roof bar for the lights. I've read the thread about modifying the JK hood light bar and using it on the bumper, but that doesn't seem too stable. I'm looking to see how other people have attached their accessory lights. Anything you have done that worked or didn't work and pictures would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

The JK light bar is an awesome option for the KK. It is stout. Definitely not going anywhere as long as you secure it properly. That's the best "factory" option you can get. |

There was someone on here who had the KJ lightbar mounted on the top of a KK. Also the KK bumper bar can have lights mounted on it as well. |

I've had the JK bar on my truck for about a year now, its still as sturdy as the day I put it on.

Has anyone tried to use the Rigid Dually D2 lights? My brother just told me to look them up and they seem pretty amazing. More of a flood pattern than a spot. but there are some pretty sweet youtube videos that show the differences between the d2's and some Hella 500s. Its a little more pricey, but the way it lights things up, seems to be a good investment, especially if you pair it with a long range spot (if you even need it). Here's the light and a couple videos http://www.amazon.com/Rigid-Industries- ... Right? I was just curious if anyone has seen them in person or actually uses them. Sounds like a win win to not have to draw as much power for so much light! |

what do you mean? Each light only draws 26 watts and like 2 amps...the KCs draw 130 watts. You could run these lights without putting a damper on the electrical. |

It ought to be. with those kind of demands you should be able to put up 10 of those lights to draw the same wattage as two KC lights, just need to make sure the Amperage isnt an issue. If its feasible that would be awesome. Two in the back, two on the sides, and 6 in front. You could probably see the KK from space.

I know a few Jeep owners running 6 to 10 Hella 500 lights off the stock battery. As long as the vehicle is running you shouldn't have any issues. Once you turn the truck off, that's a different story. |

I have had very good luck with LightForce Lights. I can say from experience that they well last during a roll over. They lights poly plastic mount bent my 1/8'' steel tab on my bumper and they still worked afterwards |

Minus the rollover part My brother has lightforce lights on his JK and he loves them and he suggested I look at the Rigid's too. I kind of like the idea of just lighting EVERYTHING up versus a focused beam of light. However, i will probably do both for max lighting capabilities.

I don't remember where I saw it but there was a guy who mounted lights on the a pillar, one on each side just above the mirrors. It looked pretty sharp. |
